Kérastase discovered the reason behind damage that keeps coming back: CALCIUM!
More calcium is absorbed with damaged hair as it is more porous (vs healthy hair), leading to a calcium overdose
Damage happens when calcium sneaks in-between keratin chains, breaking their links, making hair rigid, stiff and easy to break
Of calcium on the outside makes hair rough and dull
Pure Acids Concentration
Free hair from calcium overdose with citric acid, an organic acid that acts from core to surface, to neutralize dullness and stiffness. Once calcium is removed, Glycine, an amino acid, penetrates hair's inner layer to deeply repair. As a results broken links between keratin chains are reconnected, dramatically reducing breakage.
